Because if you love someone that loves you less than how much you love them, then the other half might:
1. Be annoyed
2. Feel suffocated
3. Take advantage over you
4. Will not appreciate you
5. Leave
You gotta love that person, but also be sure that person love you more than you do and the other person must feel that you love him/her more than he/she does. Confused yet? Good. HAHA
In a much more simpler way, you outta love a person equally. Not more, not less. But equally. Love is so confusing. But its great to get confused. Have fun trying to understand what I just wrote and if it does make sense to you then Hi, you're just so awesome and I salute ya! ;)
